Chapter 12

Montana...

The day had finally come for Montana to see her father after months of not seeing him. The night before she broke down and told Money everything about Bonnie, but she still didn’t tell him about the meeting with this Sanchez cat.

True to his word, Grant was down there within three hours of the text. He sat down with both Trisha and Montana. He needed to know what Sanchez wanted from his niece. Trisha told Grant what Sanchez had told her, which was the same thing she told Montana.

Trisha rode with Montana to the prison. She wasn’t going inside with her, but she was going to be in the parking lot waiting for her when she came back out.

Montana went through all the searching and groping before she was sent inside the visiting room. She found a table in the back, not far from the vending machines. Five minutes later the inmates were brought inside the visiting room. Montana saw her father looking around for her, so she stood up and waved. Montel saw his baby girl and had to fight the urge to pick her up and swing her around. He missed his baby girl. He wanted to be out in the free world making sure no little nigga was trying to play his daughter.

“Daddy, I missed you so much,” Montana said partially jumping into her father’s arms not caring if the CO’s said anything to her.

“I’ve missed you too, Monty. Look at you,” Montel said finally releasing Montana.

They both sat down. Montana got up to get come food and snacks from the vending machine for her father. They sat and talked about what was happening with Montel’s case. Then they started talking about Montana being in New York. Montel saw a twinkle in his daughter’s eye every time she would mention Grant’s name or how she claimed she loved New York. Montel could feel his chest tighten when Montana went on and on about her uncle. Montel knew if the secret he and his late wife kept from Grant and Montana was ever to get out he could kiss both his daughter and little brother goodbye.

“Daddy, Sanchez is not giving Trish any more packs of pampers,” Montana said looking at her father straight in the eye.

Montel rubbed his goatee while looking at his daughter. She had a certain glow to her, and he knew some young nigga was involved. He didn’t want her head to get caught up in the clouds, like before with that punk ass nigga, Shawn. He had set a plan in motion, and he needed her to roll with it. He didn’t want this new nigga getting in her head and geeking her up.

“I know baby girl. Sanchez will only do business with the both of you from now on. He feels since me and Shannon were a team he will only deal with both of you or he’s walking away,” Montel told his daughter.

Montana already smelt the set up and shook her head.
